LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

The I.N.V.E.N.T. Leadership Summit is a premier youth-focused leadership conference that prepares young talents with inclusive leadership skills and global competencies. This annual event enables our participating students (both online or onsite) to thrive in their schools, communities, and in globally diverse discussions. The summit helps learners develop the essential skills to becoming a success story and an inclusive leader when the responsibility beckons.

This immersive project equips participants with the tools and knowledge not only to become visionary but also transformative leaders. Through interactive workshops, inspiring talks by accomplished figures, and thought-provoking discussions, participants gain valuable leadership skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation. They also build a network with fellow changemakers, share ideas, and ignite the passion to tackle the global challenges.

Principally, the Leadership Summit targets deprived learners in secondary schools /tertiary institutions and it is designed to ignite the potential leadership capabilities in our target audience and equip them with the tools to unleash their leadership prowess to make positive impacts.

Since its inception in 2012, the I.N.V.E.N.T. Leadership Summit has successfully trained over 8,000 youths across schools, and in the last four years, our activities have expanded to 10 States across Nigeria. This is a demonstration of our unrelenting passion to continue to build a body of resourceful and diligent leaders with global relevance.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

The I.N.V.E.N.T. project goes beyond inspiration. We provide a unique mentorship opportunity. Selected Participants are further paired with dedicated volunteer career professionals to gain personalized guidance and real-world insights. The robust streams of activities at this phase of the project help assigned mentees accelerate growth, build confidence, and empower them to turn their innate leadership potential into reality.

Our mentors are trusted advisors who have walked a similar path and regularly offer invaluable guidance to assigned mentees. They help mentees craft a clear vision for their academic and career goals, develop essential skills sought globally, gain real-world insights into their chosen fields, and build the confidence to overcome academic or professional challenges.

Over the years, more than 2,500 mentees have been successfully paired with corresponding mentors in one-on-one sessions and group assignments. Equally, supervisors are assigned to monitor activities, facilitate sessions, and report any form of abuse.

This programme fosters a meaningful connection. It is a dedicated investment to ensure every mentee succeeds. Through regular meetings, the mentees gain personalized feedback, explore career options, and develop a strategic roadmap for achieving their aspirations.

The i.n.v.e.n.t Mentorship Programme adopts a non-mandatory give-back system that enables past mentees who are now qualified professionals in various fields to come back on the project to train new cohorts.

“I feel like this Leadership Summit should not end. You guys have made a remarkable impact in my life. I am a better person than when I walked through the entrance door. Thank you for the positive impacts.”

Your Contribution Matters

By donating school supplies and learning kits, you’re not just giving materials; you’re giving students the confidence and opportunity to thrive.

Your generosity empowers them to actively engage in the learning process, fostering a love of knowledge and opening doors to a brighter future.

LEARNING KITS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Education is the cornerstone of a brighter future. Unfortunately, not all students have access to the essential tools they need to reach their full potential. The i.n.v.e.n.t project provides an intervention for gaps that could disrupt learning. Individual and corporate donations help us make a significant world of difference in the lives of students and selected schools.

The Learning Kits
Imagine a classroom where students lack basic supplies like notebooks, backpack, pencils, biros, calculators, school uniforms and sandals; these lacks can hinder their ability to take notes and actively participate in classroom learning. We identify such deprived learners from low-income households and bridge learning gaps to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.

School Supplies

Beyond the basics, schools also lack certain provisional learning assets that could help them bridge the knowledge gaps and accelerate learning outcomes for students.

We target public schools that lacks science lab equipment, laptops, internet services, white marker boards, desks and chairs, printers, dilapidated structures amongst others. The provisions we have made in some schools have sparked improved learning outcomes and motivated teachers and management to do more.

The continuous supply of these engaging resources can transform classrooms into vibrant hubs of discovery and empower students to delve deeper into specific subjects.

TEACHERS TRAINING AND AWARDS

Teachers are the backbone of education. The Teachers’ Training and Award Ceremony is anchored on two pillars; to equip dedicated educators and to honour the tireless efforts of our classroom first responders. The I.N.V.E.N.T. project associates with the transformative power of learning and celebrates the efforts of our teachers, whose passion shapes the minds of our future leaders.

Our training exercises provide valuable tools and resources, equipping the teachers to further enhance teaching methods and inspire students. We are convinced that continuous growth is essential for educators, and the commitment to educational excellence should not be discarded.

The award ceremony turns the spotlight on the exceptional achievements of teachers whose sacrifices contributes to learning outcomes and continue to transform the lives of students. The award recipients are recognized for their exemplary dedication to the very best of learning outcomes at all times. The project celebrates their dedication, creativity, and unwavering support for students. Their contributions are a testament to the power of education to trigger curiosity, build confidence, and guide students towards a brighter future.

The core of this project is to equip and celebrate the architects of dreams and the heroes who shape the future, one student at a time.

“I am one of the beneficiaries of the I.N.V.E.N.T. Award ceremony. I am glad that they recognize the efforts of teachers and the impact we make to support our students. I want to appreciate the organizers for this wonderful opportunity.”

SCHOLAR'S AID

Tertiary education unlocks a world of possibilities, yet financial barriers often keep talented students from reaching their full potential. Providing aids to students from low-income households is not just charity; it is a strategic investment in a brighter future.

Imagine a brilliant mind forced to abandon their academic dreams due to financial constraints. By offering scholarships, grants, and financial aid programs, we bridge this crucial gap. These resources empower deprived scholars to pursue their studies, allowing them to gain valuable knowledge and skills that will propel their careers and contribute meaningfully to society.

The benefits extend far beyond the individual student. Graduates equipped with a strong education are more likely to secure high-paying jobs, lifting themselves and their families out of poverty. This economic mobility strengthens communities, fosters innovation, and fuels economic growth. Furthermore, educated individuals are more likely to become engaged citizens, contributing to positive social change.

Providing aids to financially challenged scholars create a virtuous cycle. By investing in their education, we invest in a future filled with qualified professionals, empowered citizens, and thriving communities. Supporting these students is not just an act of compassion; it’s a strategic investment in a brighter future for all. Let’s join hands and ensure that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of academic dreams.

“We want to specially thank the I.N.V.E.N.T. youth leaderdership initiative for the provision of a printer in one of our schools in the education district. We can now address the gap of printing stationary materials within the school. We are truly blessed to have you.”

TEACHER TEACH HER

Schools play a crucial role in shaping young minds, but often overlook the unique mental health challenges faced by the girl-child. Here’s why addressing these concerns is essential for their well-being and academic success.

On the i.n.v.e.n.t project, we recognize the pressure paradox, high expectations and low resources involved in addressing this subject matter. Girls are often expected to excel academically while juggling societal pressures to conform to beauty standards and navigate complex social dynamics. This constant pressure can lead to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Schools, unfortunately, may lack resources to identify and address these issues, leaving many girls to struggle in silence.

The i.n.v.e.n.t project partners with respected mental health specialists and organizations to build a supportive ecosystem for the girl-child. Teacher-Teach-Her acts as a safe haven by implementing mental health initiatives specifically tailored for girls. It also includes creating a peer support group led by trained professionals, offering access to counselors and therapists, and integrating mindfulness practices into the curriculum.

“The Seminar has helped us as girls to identify how to process certain information and how to effectively address issues of stress, anxiety, and fears especially as it relates to our mental health. We are grateful to the I.N.V.E.N.T. Project for bringing this project to our school.”
